One of the most enjoyable things about expanding our services to include maternity and newborn portraits is getting to work with our couples beyond their wedding day. Somehow, in the short time we’ve been offering these new options, we’ve already been able to work with 3 couples that we’ve known for years!
Some things in life are worth driving a little bit farther than normal, and when my college roommate, Krystal, mentioned how much her ten month old loved watermelon, I knew these photos would be worth the extra mile!
It goes without saying that 2020 has been a year like no other and one of the most unusual things for those of us in the event industry is that we haven’t been working AT ALL! But… if we had to wait that long, at least we got to ring in the year with the SWEETEST couple!
Last year, I had the privilege of photographing Lannie and Logan’s engagement portraits and wedding. This year, they’re expanding their family with the addition of their first daughter, Aylin Senna. (Such a cool name!) The timing of all this was quite wonderful too since we’ve decided to expand our services to include in-studio and on-location […]
Sometimes our best plans for a wedding day are foiled by the one thing we can’t control: Mother Nature. But that doesn’t mean the day is any less special or perfect, it just means we have to adapt and if anything, it reminds us of how much those around us care about the success of the day.
Hopefully Sabrina & Josh feel the same way, but from my point of view, this was literally the perfect day!
Just in time for the spookiest day of all, Jamie & Brad celebrated their wedding this past weekend with a Halloween themed reception at Meadowview Convention Center & Resort . This bride loves the Halloween season so, after a proposal during Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios, it was only fitting that they plan an epic costume party for their wedding reception!
So, funny story about how I met Adam and Emily long before their engagement session…
I knew from the moment I met them that these two would be a lot of fun to work with! As we were planning their engagement session, I sent out a couple’s questionnaire to help me learn a little more about them and their relationship. Turns out, not only were they planning a Halloween themed wedding (Stay tuned for that in the next few weeks!) but so much of their love story was wrapped up in the holiday. Brad even proposed at Universal Studios during Halloween Horror Nights!
“Day-After” Sessions are great ways to celebrate your wedding in a truly unique way. The idea is that, instead of being confined to your chosen venue or to limited portrait time, you can choose to create your wedding portraits in other meaningful locations, on your schedule, without the stress of the strict timeline of the wedding day. (Plus, they give you another reason to wear all those “nice clothes” again!)
Let me start by saying how wonderful it is to photograph multiple weddings within the same family! After spending so much time with them during such emotional events, each wedding becomes like a little family reunion for us! It’s always so great to catch up with our previous brides and grooms, see the same parents and grandparents again, and enjoy the company of familiar faces. This wedding was no different.
