I knew from the moment I met them that these two would be a lot of fun to work with! As we were planning their engagement session, I sent out a couple’s questionnaire to help me learn a little more about them and their relationship. Turns out, not only were they planning a Halloween themed wedding (Stay tuned for that in the next few weeks!) but so much of their love story was wrapped up in the holiday. Brad even proposed at Universal Studios during Halloween Horror Nights!
Since these two had such fun and adventurous personalities, I knew they’d go along with a bit of a crazy idea. Rather than doing a traditional engagement session, I wanted to do part of their photo session at a costume store! Of course they agreed and I set about finding the perfect place for our session. My first thought was to the Party Corner store in Johnson City TN. I had been in the store several times and knew that the windows at the front of the store would provide great light for some photos and thankfully, the store managers loved the idea too!
Once we arrived, I turned Jamie and Brad loose to explore and have fun. I think we spent about 30 minutes in the store, but I was laughing the entire time! Jamie even asked a random customer to join in for a few photos as a photo-bombing shark. It couldn’t have gone any better!
Of course we went to a more “traditional” location afterwards to finish up their session, but I really feel like that first part of the session captured who they are as a couple. It’s so nice to be able to incorporate something they both love in such a unique environment. 10/10 would haunt again!
