Festival Weddings: The Newest Creative Option for Your Celebration

First of all, choose a venue that provides great indoor and outdoor options. We showcased The Heritage in Jonesborough, TN because of their beautiful patio, reception and prep areas, and, of course, their perfect spot for a glamping village! Next up, you’ll need to set up your festival style area. This is an outdoor area where you can set up tents, a fire pit, movie lounge, game area, bar, etc… the possibilities are limitless! Your bridal party can spend the night before the wedding glamping in style and comfort while staying on site at your venue! During the wedding day, guests can use this area to enjoy time with family and friends in a laid back and totally unique setting. Once it’s time for the wedding celebration, you can move into your venue’s prep area to dress for the ceremony. (Pro tip: Having a comfortable prep space is key to an enjoyable wedding day!) After the ceremony, your guests can enjoy a reception styled however you like from the more traditional route that we showcased, to a non traditional style utilizing food trucks, a cook out/picnic, or any other number of options! If you do want to serve a catered meal, we can’t recommend The Catering Company enough! Their team is on point and the food is wonderful! Finally, as the celebration winds down, your guests can move outdoors again to enjoy live music and great bar service, or they can retire to the tent village again for a relaxing hang out spot! No matter what they choose, a wedding like this will be discussed for years to come!
