A gold wedding ring set is placed on top of a golden pearl necklace fashioned in a spiral shape. This image placed in the top 10% of the Shoot and Share competition.
Guys, guys, guys!!!! I’m so excited!
A few months ago, on a total whim, I entered some of my work in an international competition called “Shoot & Share.” This is a well known competition in the photography community where photographers can enter up to 50 of their best photos to be voted on by their peers. I’ve voted several times, but never entered my own work until this year.
Well guess what?! Out of over 1.1 million photos in 25 categories, I had 3 images make it to the top 10%! 1 in the Bride category and 2 in the Wedding Details category. (And I had one in the Ceremony/Reception category that was knocked out at 11%…) See screen shots of the ranking images below!
Obviously, I didn’t win or get anything spectacular. But, I was so surprised and honored to have made it that far and with multiple images! The work that gets submitted in this competition is so amazing and it’s such an inspiration to look through the images that won. I can’t wait to submit again next year!
